Betta fish staring at you
There are many reasons, some unknown that why the betta fish breeding
tank
is staring right at you. Bettas are one of the most popular and beautiful
tropical fish on the planet.
And every owner loves them, has fun with them, and
just be amazed by their appearance. And those people who do not own betta
admire them and have the desire to have them.
Unlike other pet animals, these fishes exhibit
behavior that confuses the owner into thinking about what the fish is trying to
do or show. It can be hard to judge; fish can not talk or express their
feelings or emotions.
Staring
There are several reasons betta stares at you and
does not panic because it is normal behavior. Sometimes they wait for their
meal or expect you to drop some pellets.
Or they are just watching you or keeping an eye on
you for their amusement of being entertained. It is so easy said than done that
they are staring at you because sometimes they are looking off to another
thing, their surroundings, analyzing their left and right, and investigating
the meaning of their tank or environment.
Sometimes we can be mistaken and see this stare as a
big deal, but there is no reason to panic or call for help. Below are some reasons
your betta is playing eye-to-eye with you.
1.
Waiting for food
As already discussed, they are signaling you or, in
simple words, waiting for food to eat. Bettas are pretty intelligent, and once
you give them a meal at a time for a week, they will be used to it.
Also, being intelligent, they know that this person
is their primary food source. They analyzed you as well.
2.
Curious
Unlike other aquarium fishes, bettas are always
curious about their surroundings and love to explore their environment. It is
one of the few reasons they are fun to even look at.
Bettas are even curious about the outside world, a
world behind the glass of their tanks, such as lights, desks, ceilings,
furniture, and much more. They are investigating everything, so much from a little
detective.
3.
Watching your moves
They are constantly watching how you feed them, how
you walk, how you call their name, your change in appearance, your voice, and
your gestures. Once investigated, they will be highly aware of everything you
do.
They are also always alert, even if some are
watching or not watching them. They are always on their guard.
4.
Looking for
entertainment
Starting at you is just a betta way of being
entertained. This indicates that they are happy and enjoying their life.
5.
Smaller tank
When their tank is too small for them, they often
become bored. When bored, they become motionless and stare all the time. Try
changing their tank size.
6.
Can’t blink
Rare
koi betta fish can't blink; in the mean of this, you
may look at them and think that they are staring at you. They don't have
eyelids due to constant water. They don't require blinking for once.
